Our Amsterdam headquarters

Not just a capital for culture, but a hub for technology

The beating heart of Booking.com

Amsterdam has been our hometown for the past two decades. From strolling along the cobbled streets of the heritage canals, to admiring Van Gogh’s stunning Sunflowers, it's easy to see why 1.1 million people of 176 different nationalities have decided to call Amsterdam home.

Inside our Amsterdam offices

With offices across the city, we welcome employees specialised in Operations, Development, Product and Technology, Marketing, Data, Finance, Account Management and Human Resources. Each office serves as a lively environment where people can meet, collaborate, inspire and unwind. Our unique culture is centred around inclusion, flexibility and authenticity. And while our people are utterly unique they do have one important thing in common – a shared connection to our mission.

Amsterdam perks

Take a cruise on the Booking Boat to check out the new campus. The 65,000m² campus located on the tip of Oosterdokseiland will welcome our Amsterdam-based staff come the second half of 2023.

Explore the city

For centuries the capital of the Netherlands was best known for liberalism, enterprise, tolerance and diversity. This has made it the perfect fit for today’s thriving tech industries.

Relocating with your partner

Booking.com’s Expat Partner Relocation Programme supports the partners of new employees relocating to the Netherlands. Meet programme members Peter, Kinga and Ilga and hear about their experience.

Home away from home

Wendy, a freelance coordinator for photography and videography, met one of her best friends – who’s also from Kenya – at Booking.com. Creating something from nothing, Wendy tells us, is the most special feeling. She and her friend started a Chama, an informal women’s investment group – sharing music, food and dancing to make Amsterdam feel like home.

Our people's perspectives

Moving to Amsterdam allowed me to be in a highly international work environment. This taught me to work with different backgrounds and different work cultures.

Back in New Zealand, my daily commute could be two hours to and from work. Now, it’s a ten-minute bike ride across this beautiful city. Amsterdam is surreal and, even despite the rain, I often have to pinch myself.

Moving from Romania to the Netherlands was an adventure of its own. The international culture makes up for the bad food.
