Software Engineer
At Booking.com, Software Engineers play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and scaling applications that support our Connected Trip vision, providing a seamless travel experience for our users and for partners. You will work on high-performance systems, solving complex technical challenges with a focus on customer impact. Engineers collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—app developers, backend developers, product owners, and quality specialists—to advocate for best practices and contribute to both team strategy and long-term business goals. This role offers the opportunity to make data-driven decisions in a dynamic environment, driving innovative solutions that enhance the traveler experience.
Engineering Manager
As an Engineering Manager, your primary responsibilities include managing, coaching, and developing an engineering team to ensure both individual and team growth align with organisational objectives. You will oversee all engineering activities, providing technical guidance for new product designs and modifications to existing ones, ensuring timely and quality deliverables. Additionally, you will analyse technology trends, human resource needs, and market demand to plan resilient projects that meet current and future demands. Collaboration with leaders, production, key stakeholders, and marketing teams is essential to determine the feasibility, cost-effectiveness, scalability, and time-to-market for both new and existing products.
Site Reliability Engineer
Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) are software engineers who specialize in ensuring the reliability of services. If you enjoy developing software, automating processes, and prioritizing customer satisfaction, this role is ideal for you. We offer various SRE positions, including platform, product, and embedded SREs. Platform SREs manage the lifecycle of large software systems, product SREs handle reliability aspects like observability and incident response, and embedded SREs work within non-SRE teams to enhance their reliability practices.
